26-year-old global superstar Lisa (Lalisa Manobal) of K-pop group Blackpink will make her acting debut in HBO’s ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3, according to an exclusive report from Variety. Season 3 of the critically acclaimed show is set to film this month in Thailand, in and around Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok.

Exact plot details and roles have not been revealed, so it’s unknown if Lisa will check in as a guest at the White Lotus resort or clock in for work as an employee.

Lisa was born in Thailand’s Buri Ram province and in 2023, she was awarded with the Cultural Ambassador Leader Award from Thailand’s Ministry of Culture for helping promote Thailand’s culture to the world. Lisa speaks multiple languages including her native language Thai, as well as Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese.

In addition to the global success she’s achieved as a member of the world’s most popular girl group Blackpink, Lisa has achieved considerable success in her solo career. Lisa holds the most Guinness World Records of any K-pop solo artist, including the most followed K-pop artist on Instagram, the first K-pop track by a solo artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify, and the most viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours with 73.6 million views.

‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 is expected to premiere some time in 2025.
