The boy from the viral“Baby Shark Dance” video has debuted as a K-pop singer under the name Baby Shark Boy

Geonroung Park, the 7-year-old boy who was seen dancing in the viral Baby Shark Dance video 10 years ago, has just released his debut single under the name, Baby Shark Boy.

More than a decade ago, Baby Shark Dance took the world by storm becoming an inescapable earworm, quickly amassing more than 17.2 billion views on YouTube, becoming the most watched video on the video platform. 

Now, Baby Shark Boy has teamed up with Joohoney of the Korean boy band Monsta X to release the new song, WAVE.

"For me, Baby Shark Dance was like the first wave that began 10 years ago. I grew up riding that wave, and now I'm standing at a new starting point as Baby Shark Boy. I put that sense of moving forward into WAVE, and I hope people can see who I am today in a new way,” the artist said in a press release.
